Hu-m-an is first and foremost a multi-faceted, hardware independent, computer program for original, two and three-dimensional, biomechanical analysis of human movement.

It is designed to accept standard "avi' format video files and proceed through digitizing, signal processing, mechanical analysis and calculation, to figure and report preparation.

Hu-m-an, as will be readily apparent, was developed using a teaching-learning focus and, therefore, also provides a platform for specially designed Demonstrations, Practice Exercises and Example Laboratories.

The Hu-m-an program, with the accompanying Demonstrations, Practice Exercises and Example Laboratories, likely provides sufficient material for at least two, one-semester courses, and can easily be extended to supplement graduate courses. It is a powerful enough tool to meet most requirements for two and three-dimensional biomechanical analysis.
